DILEXIT ECCLESIAM, Beacon on the New Shore

On the 50th anniversary of the Founder's passing we are reminded of his love for the Church, as it is engraved on his tomb "DILEXIT ECCLESIAM". He was loyal and persistent in his love for the Church, and so should we. Father Kentenich was a beacon for his time and invites us to be beacons for the Church today. Schoenstatt partakes in the renewal and purification of the Church as it is in our order of being as a movement. With the “Mother of the Church”, we are particularly called in this year to serve the Church by bringing the graces of the Shrine everywhere. We entrust that in sharing covenant culture we will ignite hearts to strive for authentic sanctity and renew the Church. We also look at the example of Joseph Engling 100 years since his sacrifice for the fruitfulness of the Shrine. He was a beacon for his time, affirming the supernatural foundation of Schoenstatt through the pursuit of everyday sanctity. His mission continues with us, constantly striving for inner transformation and being beacons on the New Shore.

Message From the Diocesan Coordinator, Schoenstatt Movement of North Texas

Hello! Welcome to North Texas Schoenstatt website. I want to welcome you, to introduce myself and, over all, to give you a message about the motto that we have as a Texas Schoenstatt Family for the next year.

I am Fr. Raimundo Costa and have been the NT Schoenstatt Family coordinator for almost two years . I belong to the Schoenstatt Fathers community. I was raised Catholic by my parents as the third of three siblings. I received the faith through my family, my school and my friends. But I went deeper when I discovered the Schoenstatt Movement during my university studies in Chile.

Through the Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother I received the biggest gift of my life, the vocation to the priesthood. Every day I thank the Lord for this amazing and precious path.

I have been living in Texas for two years, serving the Schoenstatt Movement in Austin, where I live, and also in The Dallas Fort Worth area, Houston, San Antonio, and beginning November, in Miami as well. I really like what I am doing, but at the same time I know that it is a lot of responsibility. You all are in my daily prayers, please keep me in your prayers too!

“Take this picture of the Blessed Mother and give it a place of honor in your home. Then your home will become a little shrine in which the picture of grace will mediate many graces, create a holy family atmosphere, and form holy family members.”

-Father Joseph Kentenich,
Founder of Schoenstatt
